LSP, THE FIRST INTEGRATED PETROCHEMICALS COMPLEX IN VIETNAM WITH CUTTING – EDGE TECHNOLOGIES, READY TO FULLY SERVE THE MARKET IN MID – 2023

BA RIA – VUNG TAU, Vietnam – February 24, 2023 Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited ( LSP ) , the first integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam, welcomed Journalist Association of Ba Ria – Vung Tau to visit LSP plant, showing world – class technology for safe and environmentally friendly operations, and social contribution . Despite COVID-19 pandemic, we endeavor to manage the project to reach 98 % progress, which is ready to fully enter the market in the middle of this year .

LSP complex comprises of world scale olefins plant, world – class technology polymer plants, and related facility such as specialized tank terminal and central utilities plant, with investment more than 5 billion USD .

Mr . Tharna Sanee, General Director, Long Son Petrochemicals, disclosed, “ Even though there was COVID -19 pandemic, LSP has reached 98 % progress and expected to fully serve the market by mid of 2023, thanks to the strong supports from local and national authorities . We believe that LSP will create a springboard for the future of petrochemical industry in Vietnam as well as supporting the growth of downstream businesses and play a vital role to support long – term economic growth . Also, we commit to conduct our business following sustainable development framework with a focus on ESG ( Environmental, Social, and Governance ). Moreover, we have brought advanced technology and world – class practices to ensure the compliance and strong commitment for safety and environmental protection, also enhanced a better quality of life for community by initiating various programs with local authorities .”

LSP will produce various petrochemical products, including essential plastic materials such as polyethylene ( PE ) and polypropylene ( PP ) with total capacity of 1 . 4 million tonnes per year, enabling the substitution of imported polyolefin products as well as increase competitiveness to local downstream producers .
