INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S DAY
AT BA RIA-VUNG TAU SCHOOL FOR DISABLE STUDENTS
For many years, SCG has constantly paid attention and made efforts to implement programs for children, expressing the commitment to develop the well-being of Vietnamese children. In Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, in 2009, SCG spent 620,000 USD (more than 13 billion dong) to renovate, build 20 new classrooms, hall area, sports playground and install particular equipment for children of school.
Since 2011, annually on the occasion of International Children’s Day 1/6, SCG organizes a festival including entertainment, awarding scholarships to students and supporting more IT, medical and sport devices for school with a total cost of US $ 29,000 (over VND 630 million).
At the festival, 240 students studying at the school are invited to enjoy the performances such as magic shows performed by the Ho Chi Minh City Circus and participate in fun activities such as painting, painting using sand, badminton, table tennis …
On this occasion, SCG donated medical and sport equipment, 30 quotations for classroom decoration, and scholarships, VND 200,000 each for students who have achieved outstanding in studying and donated 240 gifts including learning materials, snack and candies to all students of the school.
