SCG AND MEMBER COMPANIES JOIN HANDS WITH HO CHI MINH CITY HIGH COMMAND TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF SOLDIERS

The Gia Dinh Regiment, the Outdoor Training Center of Ho Chi Minh City High Command, and the Shooting Range of Ho Chi Minh City High Command serve as living and training areas for nearly 1,500 soldiers. These three units play a crucial role in military operations, as well as in maintaining the security and peace of the city and the region. To create optimal working, training, and living conditions for the soldiers, as well as to contribute to the development of a sustainable society, SCG and member companies have collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City High Command to support this Clean and Green project in military facilities. The initiative involves the distribution of practical and high-quality products, including PVC-U pipes and fittings, water pipes and automatic sprinklers, ceramic wall tiles, tile fix, tile grout, sanitary equipment, showers, and waste segregation bins, etc. Through this provision of support, soldiers will be infused with heightened motivation, empowering them to fulfill their duties and cultivate a sense of unity and cohesion within the sanctity of their dwellings.

In collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, the clean and green solutions provided by SCG and member companies are of the highest quality and stand out. For instance, to create a clean and well-ventilated living space, SCG Home – a leading provider of construction products and services under PRIME, has generously supported wall tiles, sanitary equipment, and water supply ensuring that it meets the required standards. During the ceramic tile installation for the bathrooms and water tanks, SCG also used its products as tile fix and tile grout with excellent adhesion and waterproofing properties from the SCG to facilitate the construction process. Meanwhile, Duy Tan Plastics, a renowned Vietnamese household plastic and packaging brand, has handed over waste segregation bins to encourage soldiers to process and segregate waste properly while gaining knowledge about sustainable environmental protection. Furthermore, Binh Minh Plastics Company, a leading Plastic – Construction materials company in Vietnam, supported the installation of water pipes and automatic sprinklers in military units, creating more green spaces and helping soldiers in increasing farming productivity.
